| • What kind of insurance should I buy for my software company? |
|
My software company is an LLC which sells database tracking type software to businesses for about $400 each. In addition to protecting my personal assets with the LLC, I would also like to purchase insurance against any lawsuits that might arise from a customer who might claim that the software caused them to lose time or money in some way. This is a one person product company, not a service business. Should I be looking for E&O insurance, Professional Liability insurance, or ?

Panasonic Plasma repair advice needed ??
Hi,
My Plasma TV TH42PE-50B model has started to do a strange fault ??
The sound control does not work from the remote, I thought it was a faulty remote been dropped once too many times so I bought a new Genuine replacement
The next day the old remote is back up and running and works OK and as does the new one
Next day ,
the sound then was not able to work from either new or old remote , so I turned off TV and on again ... everthing fine
This happens now on a regular basis and the fix is on and off
Now when your watching a program for the same channel for hours the screen goes dark, and a press of the remote brightens up the screen again
I now have an intermitent BLACK ROLLING SCREEN with PANASONIC rolling down on some channels I watch
The Tv is a cracking set and picture, I just wondered if this is an internal software fault? or a cheap easy fix
Can some one help whom repairs Panasonics to find out should I be lucking to buy a new TV?
1 day ago - 2 days left to answer.
Additional Details

Hi, Yes its just on internal freeview ... dvds are no problem at all
I thought it might be a software glich or need an upgrade by a Panasonic dealer
Just worried about the sound, but on off fixes it at present
I paid very good money for this TV as you may know, and you can by cheaper Pannys now for better spec, thing is when this TV was launched it was 4 grand new, then they started removing bits to make it cheap SD card slot etc side speakers etc... and I got this when I did like the style as you say... sleak
I dont think I can replace it with another panasonic as I dont like them ... and I bought this with at least a five to eight year plan, I think its nealy 4 years old now
I thought I would ask the question as it maybe a common fault, and someone in the know could help
Panel is fantastic, and I could not want for anything more, my parents bought the new HD ready plasma and the picture is not as good as mine
They make them cheaper so are cutting costs where

Oh, and I have never claimed on insurance yet
I bet those Wii things have upped the replacement tv claims a bit
I would get it repaired ... and if not ..
its going to be a brill computer monitor

| • How likely would I be indicted for Unemployment Insurance Fraud in the state of New Jersey? |
|
I am having a bit of a situation. Last July I was put out of commission by my company. I then opened an unemployment insurance claim. Being a forgetful person that I am, I created a little computer program that would counts the day and the month and automatically goes online to do the claim for me (the software is called Automate Enterprise by Unisync). When the check comes home my girlfriend would either cash or deposit the check for me (I usually just sign every paper she gives me to sign). That was all well and good until my company called me back to work, I shut my little program off but when the computer was reset it got turned back on and the claim went on for 21 weeks. After discovering (one month after) that I was getting money I wasn’t suppose to, I immediately went to the New Jersey Department of Labor and explained to them what happened and was willing to pay them back in full. They said that they will pull my pay record and work hour.
They said that they will pull my pay record and work hour. They also said that they will either make me pay the money back or put me on fraud status. How likely will I be indicted for fraud? Could I also be fired for what happened?

| • Software development? |
|
This is a general question that should be answered by people with a background in application software development. I am just wondering on average how many people are need to developed a pretty in-depth software application that is tied to a database. I am asking this because I am wondering if a company wanted to build a application like WebMD the medical clearing side not the website. This means accepting claims from hospitals/clinics going threw each claim put them into the correct 837 format for the corresponding insurance payer then push then forward to the appropriate payer. Also have custom reports that show what/where/when the claims went out. Also this would also involve connection to about 1200 insurance payers. So this would involve a database, automated software applications and plenty of services that do FTP automatically. I am just looking for any input on the number of programmers/networking people need to develop this kind of IT. My guess is at least 20 what’s yours?

| • Is there any insurance loss estimating software homeowners can buy to calculate losses for claims? |
|
In order to negotiate with the insurance company, it would be useful to have a software package that would help itemize, price, calculate, and estimate, not only the value of contents but also the cost per square foot of restored construction, the labor cost of tearout of damaged property, debiris disposal costs, etc. Insurance companies have such software packages. It would be great if the insured could also use one.

| • What are the simplest statement software programs for 30/60/90 day client follow up? |
|
I am a medical billing business and it seems that some of my clients (medical professionals) would like me to handle their patient billing in addition to the insurance claims I currently submit for them. Question is, are there some well-known programs for simply producing statements to send out and which will enable 30/60/90-day tickling, as well? There are so many on the market, I just wonder if people who are using some of them might have some valuable input? Really want to keep it very simple.

| • when a doctor knows his patient expired due to wrong medicine given by another doc why not give in written? |
|
would like to know when a doctor is 100% sure that his patient died because of the negligence of the other doctor then why cant the doctor give it in written to the family members? how does a layman go about it? doesent the family suffer due to all this? financially, mentally and socially? one cant even claim any insurance! it being an error on the doctor's part, it should come under accidental death or not? iam suffering a lot due to this and have two daughters whose education is stopped due to the sudden death of my husband who was a V P of a software co. Due to his designation, they too have refused to give me any k ind of compensation though he was on official tour when this error took place. if i could have it written from the doctor, i could have claimed for his accidental policies as well as had a relief in terms of home loan too. i have run from one doctor to another to get the error written, just an opinion would also do, but all agreed to the error but noone wrote it.
