My younger sister is getting married in 3 weeks and I'm her Maid of Honor, which I'm extremely excited about! I've gone beyond the normal Maid of Honor duties because she's my only sister, I love her so much and we have our own sister bond.
My older brother just announced that he's getting married in the Fall of '09. This is his 2nd marriage and his fiance's 1st marriage. His fiance is doing a big traditional wedding (since it's her 1st wedding), similar to what my sister is doing. Although he hasn't come right out and asked for anything, my brother is hinting about me doing things similar to what I'm doing for my sister. For example, I made a beautiful "Just Married" sign for my sister out of draped fabric, paints, and ribbons, and my brother commented on how nice it would be if he had one for his wedding. The sign took me a long time to do, and it's something special just for my sister. I feel like he sees me as a wedding super hero. Personally, I'm burned out on wedding things. When my brother comes right out and starts asking me to do things for his wedding, I need to know what to say to him.

The character isn't showing any personality?
Each student in my drama class was given a monologue from the play Out Town to memorize and act out. Mine is the wedding speech the stage manager makes. He wants us to put emotion into it, but how do I do that when the stage manager really isn't stating anything emotional?
If it helps, the entirety of my monologue is:
"There are a lot of things to be said about a wedding; there are a lot of thoughts that go on during a wedding. We can't get them all into one wedding, naturally, and especially not into a wedding at Grover's Corners, where they're awfully plain and short. In this wedding I play the minister. That gives me the right to say a few more things about it. For a while now, the play gets pretty serious. Y'see, some churches say that marriage is a sacrament. I don't quite know what that means, but I can guess. Like Mrs. Gibbs said a few minutes ago: People were made to live two by two. This is a good wedding, but people are so put together that even at a good wedding there's a lot of confusion way down deep in people's minds and we thought that that ought to be in our play, too. The real hero of this scene isn't on stage at all, and you know who that is. It's like what one of those European fellas said: Every child born into the world is Nature's attempt to make a perfect child."
Ok so I'm going to give you a short background story to set up my question:
About 9 years ago my half sister (my father's daughter from a previous marriage-she's 27 and I'm 19) left my family. She was 18 and she got mad at my father for not helping out with money enough (even though my dad did not have enough money to support his new family and to pay all of her college tuition at the time) and not understanding how there are things that should go her way decided to cut everyone off from existence. She talked to me for a little just to keep in touch but then i was cut off as well.
About 9 months ago she writes my father out of the blue after 9 years wanting to make peace. My father, of course, was and still is unbelievably happy that she is back in our lives. She's visited us a few times since then with her new fiance. Here's the problem, I don't trust her. All her life she has been manipulative because thats how she was brought up. My father was in medical school and didn't have a lot of time to spend with her so his mother (our grandmother) and her mother raised her. Both women are EXTREMELY manipulative. Suffice to say, my father feels guilt for not being there for her enough when she was younger. Anyways, I feel like she's using him for money for the wedding and she really has screwed up my life. I looked up to her. She was my hero and she just left. It was devastating. Ever since then I've been so scared that everyone I love is going to leave me. She messed me up and now she's back and I just don't trust her that she's here on good intentions. I mean, all of a sudden she's back in 9 years without an explanation? (no one has brought that up. Everyone is forgetting like 9 years didn't happen).
She's visiting us the day after thanksgiving and I want to talk to her about how I feel. In a nice way, I'm going to tell her that I'm wary that she's back, why is she back, she messed me up (obviously in a nicer way than that) and so on and so on. My question is, should I do this at all? And if I should, how do I approach this topic. Do you think it will cause more conflict? I just can't let this go. I have all this pent up anger, hurt and even a little hate for her and I can't just forget 9 years didn't happen. I needed a sister and she wasn't there for me. Why should I even be there for her (she's been reaching out to me lately. emails and phone calls)? Help please! :)

I am at my wits end with this marriage. I can't seem to get thru to my husband. I do everything and anything for him and all I want in return is a little respect and one on one time. He is more than willing to give that to his friends. I can beg for time with him and he will ask what we are going to do "sit and watch tv looking crazy together or play guitar hero looking crazy together". Well, that just pisses me off because that is spending time together. And I would be happy doing whatever as long as he would actually act like he wanted to do it with me. He does those same things with his friends, but the difference is that he wants to do them with his friends. His one friend is either over the house or my husband is over his. If they are not together his friend literally calls the phone every 20-30 min. If he lasts that long. I have even gotten so mad at this situation that I have accused them of being gay. I took my wedding ring off and threw it at him and told him to give it to his bf since that seems to be the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with. I want alone time with my husband. One full day just no company, him not sitting on the phone talking to someone else, or him catching up on sleep because he is tired from having so much "fun" with everyone else. I can't get him to understand that fully. I talk to him on my afternoon break, he has his friend over usually playing video games. I get off work his friend is usually still over the house or he will leave and go over his house. If he is at the house he is just there. If he does try to spend time with me his friend is constantly calling the phone interrupting whatever time I am actually getting. I have become resentful of their relationship and it seems crazy to me. He even has his friend ride with him to deliver papers at night. I want the kind of relationship he has with his friend. It seems wrong that I am his wife and I get pushed aside for anything and everything that his friend wants to do. I want my husband to notice me other than when he wants to *&$% and that seems to be the only thing he needs me for. I can't see myself living like this for the rest of my life. I want a husband that wants to be around me and actually enjoys my company. I literally have begged and pleaded that he give me attention, just a little time one on one. He gives his friend that on a daily basis. Hell, he literally set his alarm for two hours earlier than what he usually gets up for work to go play video games with his friend before he had to go to work the other night. I can't even get time during the middle of the day, but he can set his alarm to go hang out with him. WTF? I have to do something to prove my point. I don't know what, but I have to make him understand this or I am done with this marriage. Any suggestions?

The drama on Guiding Light is getting serious. An argument, an arrest and a kiss complicate things for the residents of Springfield. I hope everyone is ready for all the juicy gossip, rumors, scoops and spoilers for the week of September 15th.
Dinah/Grady/Cyrus: This week, Dinah does things that you won't believe. For starters, she sleeps with Grady! Cyrus catches the two red handed and can't believe his eyes. Dinah tells Cyrus her relationship with Grady is purely business. She needed a partner to take down Bill and Lizzie, and Grady needed convincing. Needless to say, he agrees to help her out and in a big way. He attacks Bill in true hooded and masked thief style. When Dinah finds out what Grady did for her, she is shocked. She didn't think he would go that far. Has Dinah bitten off more than she can chew?
Grady must be in a good mood, because Dinah isn't the only person he helps. When Cyrus ends up in his second home, jail, Grady does all he can to get him out. Exactly what does Grady do to help his brother?
Bill/Lizzie/Alan: Alan's life threatening surgery and subsequent coma doesn't stop Bill and Lizzie's fierce competition. It's Lizzie versus Bill in the boardroom round 3924. The two fight for the Decker deal. New character alert! Tom Decker is Springfield's newest big wig corporate mogul. Anyways, this deal will be huge for whoever gets it. Who will come out on top?
Later on, when Bill gets attacked, Lizzie sees the whole thing. However, she can't tell that it's Grady. How will this affect Bill and Lizzie's already strained relationship? It can't be good and it's only going to get worse after Bill lets his anger out on a recovering Alan. Just when Bill's anger is growing into fury, the alarms at Alan's bedside sound. Let's just say Bill calms down very quickly.
Remy/Olivia: Remy and Olivia are ecstatic when they learn that Ava can come home. The excitement quickly turns into pure hurt and anger when the duo learns that Ava doesn't want to come home at all. Olivia blames Remy for Ava not returning and they end up in a heated argument.
Olivia is heartbroken, but Remy refuses to give up. He goes to his father and asks for money to visit Ava. Clayton turns him down flat. Desperate, Remy goes to Olivia for help. They agree to call a cease fire and try to bring Ava home.
Reva/Jeffrey/Josh: Jeffrey is so upset that Ava isn't returning home, Reva decides to cheer him up. She suggests they try to go on their honeymoon. After Josh gives Reva a sporty wedding gift, Jeffrey and Reva decide to go on a long drive. Reva throws Jeffrey's phone away so he can't talk to Ava and won't be distracted.
Things are going well until Josh calls Reva with upsetting news. Shayne is missing and possibly in danger. Reva starts freaking out. Jeffrey tries to calm her down but they end up in their first fight as husband and wife. Is it trouble in paradise already?
Rafe/Natalia/Frank: Natalia has a whole mess of trouble ahead of her this week. She is extremely depressed now that Rafe is in state prison. She has lost all faith. Things brighten up for Natalia when Frank comes her rescue. He helps her out with Rafe and receives a kiss on the cheek. Side note: Oh please, please soap gods let Frank get some. He's long overdue. Now back to your regularly scheduled spoilers. The kiss from Natalia prompts Rick and Coop to tell Frank to ask her out. Will he actually do it?

Author Alan Dundes has compared this archetype with events in the life of Jesus, as recorded in the Christian Scriptures. 2 He found that Jesus' life contained almost all of the twenty two elements. Element #3 is missing, and #12 is a weak match. But the remaining twenty events are relatively precise matches:

I had a friend, Molly Corney, our parents' farms are adjacent, and we are almost of the same age, but I am an only child, and she has a bunch of brothers and sisters. We used to be very close, and always brought dairy products to the market together. Hi! I started watching the youth group at church Wed nights. It is more like babysitting than youth group, but I am trying to make it fun and entertaining for them. I brought Guitar Hero and Singstar this past Wed night for everyone to play. The kids range from age 7 to age 16. The one 16 year old girl has aspurgers and is highly functional autistic. When she has to wait her turn or when she is getting frustrated with someone, she is VERY vocal about it. She will criticize people and visibly be frustrated. She won't calm down and doesn't seek a peaceful solution about it.
How can I handle her when she gets like this to calm her down and reach a solution together? As well as get her to stop criticizing others and blaming others?
I want everyone to have fun! She expressed that she had fun at the end of the night so I believe that is a good sign. I need to know what to do or say in the heat of the moment to get her to calm down and avoid confrontation with others.

My wife and I will be celebrating (hopefully) our 7th wedding anniversary in Sept. We've been together for more than 10 years. Our relationship has had it's typical "getting to really know one another" phases. For the past 3 years, we've been battling with the pain of infertility to get pregnant... it's my infertility we're dealing with. I've always been there for her and we supported each other throughout this crisis. After several attempts at IVF, TESE & ICSI, we may have to resort to alternative means to have children, which she is not comfortable with. She says it's her biological need to reproduce that is her conflict (Donor is not an option for her, either)
More recently (the past 6 months) I've noticed our connection drifting apart. There is a 12 year difference between us, but it has never been an issue before she discovered some old friends, who she's been hanging out with a few times a week, playing games (poker,gtr hero) and doing some light clubbing. We've always shared our friends together to some extent, at least an introduction... but she feels like she needs to have her space. and she really enjoys her connection with her "peeps". I've given her a lot of space... perhaps too much, to my fault.
She's not sure she wants to stay in our relationship and wants to see what else life has to offer... I'm all for supporting seeing what life has to offer, but does it have to
We are starting therapy tonight to see if we can find more answers, though sometimes my hopes are extinguished with tears when I feel her pulling away.
Our communication is really good and there is a lot of love between us... I feel she is protecting her fears of being unable to concieve (she is 35). I'm always willing to do what it takes for our relationship... it's something I take very seriously.
I truly think the infertility is the root cause of where we are... it kills me as a man, that I cannot provide this, but must our relationship die because of this?
Upate: we've been to 2 counseling sessions since my last post and we might be having some breakthoughs in a few areas. Thank you for those who reponded... all support appreciated.

Republican presidential nominee John McCain's first wife – with whom he has three adult children – is speaking out about the reasons behind their divorce in 1980.
"My marriage ended because John McCain didn't want to be 40, he wanted to be 25," Carol McCain told England's Daily Mail. "You know that happens... it just does."
John and Carol, then a swimwear model, wed in 1965.
"I thought, of course, we would live happily ever after," said Carol, who now lives in Virginia Beach.
While John was held captive in Vietnam, Carol was disfigured due to multiple injuries from a car accident. He returned in 1973 and they split seven years later.
"My accident is well recorded," Carol recounted. "I had 23 operations, I am five inches shorter than I used to be and I was in the hospital for six months. It was just awful, but it wasn't the reason for my divorce."

Ok I had to buy my wedding dress for various reasons during my attemted weight loss process. The dress fits perfect (not with any help from the lady that worked there) so I can't really lose much weight. The most they can take the dress in is like 1 inch. So since I can not obviously lose much weight. Maybe like 5 pounds. Is there a way I can tone up my arms and stomach a little without losing lots of weight or getting even bigger from muscles. haha. If anyone can answer this with a reasonable answer, you're my hero.
My Fiancee is coming back from Iraq in October. Our wedding is not until next July, and I want to dedicate a song to him at our reception. Something about him being my hero and how much I love him, but still has a meaning of me being proud of what he has done for our country. This might be confusing! Lol Does anyone have suggestions?!

The bride and groom are both really into music so we've decided to do the shower in a rock theme. Need ideas for games, etc. Guitar Hero sounded fun, but will be too much trouble to make happen. We had an engagement party a few months back, My brother was dressed in his dress whites. Everyone thought he was a hero, asking him did he get to see blood and gore...Feeling his muscles etc...The party was for Me and my groom. However after my brother came to the party, my fiance just left and I sat on the porch with 2 of my girls..For the whole 2.5 hours, I felt like it was a "Homecoming' party for my brother.. After the party ended people started asking for my groom. I said he left 2 hours ago...No one noticed, and no one cared. I am just upset...Advice..I feel like Our wedding day will turn out the same.
My bother is in the military.
He didn't leave as soon as he got here. Our party was at my grandmothers place in Pittsburgh...My fiance stayed for a good half hour, at the kitchen table. No one came up to talk to him. So he left.
He didn't leave because my brother was getting the attention. He left because he didn't want to sit around doing nothing.
My husband and I were married in late May, his 25th birthday is in mid-July and I just do not know what to do for him!
Background info:
*He loves video games. He has a PSP, an orginal x-box, and an x-box 360. For his 360 he has live hook-up and accessories, plus 39 games. As far as games go, he has a good mix of a few NFL games (like Madden), a few versions of Guitar Hero (he even has the Rock Band game with the whole set up including guitar, bass, drums, etc..), a few Star Wars Legos games, then some random war and shooter games (Call of Duty, Halo, Gears of War, Dead Rising, Lost Oydessey, etc..)
*He plays guitar (writes his own music and lyrics, it's a real passion for him and he's good at it too). Favorite bands include Smashing Pumpkins, Weaser, Seether, Nirvana, etc.. (all bands I know nothing about, I prefer country music).
*He has a "home-town" football team that he's loved since he was a kid (home-town team located on other side of country; he is military).

Acts as a hero at an English Castle
On the date March 12, King Minster announced marriage between Prince George, Prince of Wales and Princess Kita, princess of England. There has been a lot of commotion at the English Castle, and questions about how this happened. The press then released a statement declaring that Prince George was disguised as a Window Washer. He adored Kita, so as he was cleaning the windows in his disguise he would secretly spy on Kita. As we was washing and watching he foiled a plan, to kidnap the Princess while no guard or butlers were looking. He would hold her in the Kings ransom, he would exchange her if they would get peace between each others land. She of course fell in love with the window washer hero and her father, though grateful, was against it at first. When he found out the window washer was really a prince, everything was fine. The King felt communal and proud of his daughter. Nobody was sure of how Prince George knew Kita, but this is the first time in history that a Prince has disguised himself as a Window Washer. My father has an illness and can barely walk much less dance and he is also a pastor so he is performing the ceremony and obviously won't be walking me down the aisle. I've always loved the daddy and his little girl dancing on her wedding day and never dreamed as a little girl that my "super hero" dad would'nt be physically able to on mine. Does anyone have any suggestions how i can still have that moment with him to show him how great a dad he was for me?
I have about shoulder length hair, but by the time I get married it will be a few inches past my shoulders. (wedding date: 7-4-09) I have naturally curly hair, that sometimes in the summer time gets pretty frizzy in the front, so I would like to have a hair style that would enhance my curly hair and hiding the things I don't like about it. I like these styles, what do you think? Also I am on a VERY tight budget, I would like to get my hair done, but I know that can be very pricey.... what are some cheaper places that I could go to?

Most or at least 99.9% hate drunk drivers and what they do...NO question here.
My nephew just recieved a DUI after 12 years perfect driving record and here's what he got after have 2 drinks at a family wedding and was just over the limit.
1. $1500 fine, loss of licence for 6 Months
2. Loss of his truck driving job. He has a wife & 2 small children (she doesn't work because of a handicapped child) They have missed their last 2 house payments and more than likely lose their home. They have applied for food stamps and other government asst.
3. $1800 for Lawyer...WHO by the way didn't even show up with him to court...but managed to keep the money he was given
4. 3 Days in Jail...while his wife & children stayed at home.
I hope the courts, Police, Jailors, MADD all feel like big hero's for stopping my nephew the criminal. How I wish all their Sh*t could be made public so we could hear how harsh they would be then
